M-1 Challenge “Battle of Legends” on Eurosport

The biggest MMA event to ever take place on European soil will be shown on Eurosport for the very first time!

The 20th of November 2011 is a day to remember as the M-1 Challenge “Battle of Legends” was held in Moscow´s Olympia Stadium in front of more than 22.000 spectators + millions of viewers in front of their tv and the internet!

It was MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko who was able to overcome Jeff Monson via unanimous decision in the main event- but it were two Spirit fighters to draw a lot of attention as Daniel Weichel was able to capture the M-1 lighweight belt in style as he was able to knock out the reigning Champion Jose Figueroa in the very first round to co-headline the Challenge!

Mairbek Taisumov was also able to overcome his competitive opponent Josh Thorpe in the second round- to finish him off with his devastating ground and pound!

The event will now be shown on Eurosport tonight at 10pm – available in 55 countries but excluding Germany and France for political reasons…
