Team Spirit tops their group after some great results in the DGL!

The first fight has been a very successful one, but our team around Jiu Jitsu instructor Robert Pastuch, was able to go one better this time. We narrowly beat the front runners Stuttgart Muchachos and enter the finals in a good position.

The team was slightly changed on three positions as our MMA fighter Daniel Weichel moved into it, while Sam Behnud had to pull out due to an ankle injury and Rasim Lemberanskij couldn´t take a day off work.

Our first opponents were the fighters from Arena Aschaffenburg and our victory was repeated.

The single results were as follows:

The second fight was against the frontrunners Stuttgart Muchachos and it´s been a tight affair until the end- although it was Team Spirit to claim victory this time:

Another strong finish was neccesary to secure the group victory and it came against the injury prone Team Integra:

We have now qualified for the finals and claim the top spot of our group due to having scored a better win-lose ratio.

The great effort was also honoured by the judges who crowned MMA Spirit as the team of the day and additionally crowning Saba Bolaghi as the fighter of the day as he went for submissions rather than only focusing on his superior wrestling abilities. Congrats Saba!

The finals will be in November in Witten!
