MMA Spirit wins both fights!

Another successful weekend draws to an end as both our mma fighters were able to overcome their opponents at the Mixfight Gala 14 in Darmstadt´s Böllenfalltorhalle.

It was Kamila to enter the ring first as the five time fitness world champion squared off with Jana Wagenhuber. Both fighters didn´t waste any time to engage as Kamila tried to structure her stand up with jabs. But they were to end in the clinch as Wagenhuber was rushing and- Kamila decided to go for the takedown and controlled from top position to quickly advance to the full mount.

She started to create space to get her ground and pound going and the only threat came from a sweep- but she kept cool and resweeped her immediately only to regain the full mount from where she was now throwing some serious leather to make her foe tap out deep into the opening frame.

Congratulations on the first win!

Stephan Pütz and the next belt-

There were quite some things at stake for Stephan as he went into this bout to defend his unbeaten record, try to win a fourth belt and to make his MMA Spirit debut one to remember.

We´d say “mission accomplished”- but not without resistance. It was a back and fourth affair in the opening frame as Dawid Baziak connected with some solid lowkicks to party slow Stephan down. But he slowly got into the fight and started to land single jabs and uppercuts. Stephan kept growing in confidence and was able to take Dawid to the canvas time and time again. Stephan was hardly threatened although he was attacked with a couple of Kimuras and one omoplata.

The third round was all Stephan as he manhandled Baziak from the bell to the end of the fight to be declared the Mix Fight Gala lightheavyweight champion.

Stephan can therefore call himself the Respect FC, Kombat Komplett, Superior FC and Mix Fight Gala champion- all at the very same time! Congratulations!
