First things first: We´d like to give the travelling MMA Spirit army a huge shoutout as you´ve made it another special evening at Düsseldorf´s Maritim hotel. We´ve unfortunately not been able to celebrate three wins- but losing is obviously part of this cruel game of sports. Ali Nasir lost his mma debut via tko early into the first round, having been clipped by a left hook as his opponent followed him to the ground to leave the judge with no other choice than to wave of the fight. Katharina Dalisda was the second MMA Spirit fighter to step into the cage and she put on a performance full of grit and determination, gaining the upper hand and more control the longer the fight went. A unanimous decision win was a fair reflection of what had happened inside the cage. Mad Max Coga unfortunately lost his featherweight strap due to a heavy uppercut early into the first round, which he had controlled for most part up until that punch landed. The disappointment by the travelling army was huge, but Max promised to come back with a vengeance and won´t rest until winning the strap back. Tilman Friedrich and Pascal Bertuch started in mma amateur fights at GMC Olympics on the very same day, with Tilman losing via 2nd round armbar and Pascal winning via 3rd round Tko.
