In memory of Samir Al Mansouri

Samir’s passion for martial arts and his humanity had a lasting impact on MMA Spirit and the Frankfurt scene. In July 2025, Samir tragically passed away at the age of 35 in a motorcycle accident. The grief and sympathy from the community are overwhelming.

Samir stood for hard work without ego, for respect and team spirit. He shaped athletes, but above all, he shaped people. Many associate him with decisive moments on and off the mat – honest feedback, a smile at the right moment, a β€œyou can do it” that carried them through. As a long-time coach at MMA Spirit, he accompanied careers and touched lives.

Samir came from Thai boxing and was considered a technically outstanding fighter. He became Dutch champion (βˆ’82.5 kg) and brought this expertise to coaching with complete dedication.

Support for the family

Anyone who would like to support Samir’s family can do so via the published fundraising campaign. Every gesture – whether a message, a memory, or a donation – helps.

“Samir was the heart of MMA Spirit – helpful, understanding, and loving. We will carry you in our hearts and celebrate your life on the mat.”

What remains is Samir’s example: discipline, humility, and genuine connection. A part of him lives on in every warm-up, every pad round, every handshake. We will preserve his memory – through the way we train, treat each other, and stick together.
