Lockdown extended until March 7th!

The decision of yet another lockdown extension has been confirmed by the German chancellor Angela Merkel as much as the minister-presidents. The lockdown has hit MMA Spirit -among many other businesses- since November 2nd 2020 without a break. Frustrating times that are clearly and unfortunately undermining some of the most beautiful principles of our democracy, which should be transparency, foresightful actions and especially in this case the consulting of various scientists with alternating ideas.

The following rules apply:

Contact restrictions

People are still only supposed to meet with one person living outside their own household for private matters. The circle of contacts shall be kept as small as possible.

Facial masks, travel, vaccination

Surgery or FFP2 masks are mandatory while travelling in all public transportation. “Unnecessary” travels and visits should be omitted. The government will try to make sure that anyone living in Germany will have the possibility of being vaccinated by the end of summer 2021.

Work and office

Employers are supposed to give their staff the chance to work from their homes if possible. Masks should be worn if home-office is not possible.

Day-care centers and schools

Re-opening day-care centers and schools are top priority. Both areas shall open slowly, masks will be mandatory. Final decisions will be taken by the state governments.

Hairdresser

Hairdressers will re-open on March 1st. Masks will be mandatory.

Further openings – new 7 day incidence target

Further openings will only happen when the new target number of 35 infections per 100.000 inhabitants per one week is reached. Security measurements will be discussed in the upcoming weeks. The next meeting is set for Wednesday, March 3rd.
